Dial Road to Sandy Bottom is our most popular run. It is approximately a two hour float/paddle time but you can adjust to a longer trip based on whether you are fishing or just want to stop for a picnic or swim. This is a very mild section of the river and very good for beginners. There are a few rapids that just make it fun but nothing too challenging. There are no drops or unexpected surprises. This section goes through some pasture land and then through part of the National Forrest. We regularly see various birds, ducks, geese and on occasion we see other wild life such as a deer crossing the river or coming for a drink of water.
